Shein, the fast-fashion powerhouse, has confidentially filed for an initial public offering (IPO) in the United States, marking a pivotal moment for the company’s global expansion. Founded in Nanjing, China, in 2008 by entrepreneur Chris Xu, Shein has rapidly become a dominant player in the global fashion market. The company, now headquartered in Singapore, was valued at $66 billion in its last funding round. However, Bloomberg reports suggest that Shein could target a valuation of up to $90 billion for its IPO, potentially making it one of the most valuable China-founded companies to list in New York.
