Career Background Before joining Hermès, Dumas spent nearly a decade as an investment banker for BNP Paribas, with assignments in Beijing (1995–1997), Paris (1997–1999), and New York (1999–2003).
His entry into Hermès was in 2003 as an auditor in the company’s financial department, a stepping stone that quickly led to positions of increasing responsibility. By 2006, he was Managing Director of the Jewellery Division, and in 2008, he took on leadership of the pivotal Leather Goods & Saddlery Division.
