Kate Spade Backs New Mental-Health Foundation at New York Summit

Kate Spade New York used its fifth Global Summit on Women’s Mental Health to announce a new funding commitment. The brand is the inaugural donor to The Irina Foundation, an initiative from Accent Aigu Entertainment and the creative team behind Heated Rivalry. The summit took place September 30 at The Shed in New York City.

The foundation plans to support sports and arts programs that foster belonging and mental well-being, with an emphasis on LGBTQIA2S+ and underserved communities. Harry’s is also joining as an early contributor, according to Kate Spade.

The brand has made mental-health programming a continuing part of its social-impact work, using the annual summit to convene partners and advocates around different dimensions of women’s well-being.

This year’s program brought together discussions on resilience and community, economic wellness, online and offline belonging, self-confidence, and the roles of music and art. Kate Spade named Adyen, Spotify, Pinterest and lululemon as summit partners…
