L’Oréal opens Academy in Hudson Yards to train up to 400,000 stylists a year

L’Oréal Professional Products has unveiled a 13,097 square foot Academy in Hudson Yards, designed as a creative epicenter and global benchmark for technical mastery in color and haircare. The hub serves as a collaborative crossroads for licensed professionals, focused on upskilling in business, creativity, and technology to power the next era of salon services.

For more than 115 years, L’Oréal Professional Products has been embedded in the salon industry and now reaches 31% of the U.S. hairstylist population, empowering around 400,000 stylists and colorists every year through omni channel education. Chairman David Greenberg said, “Opening this state-of-the-art Academy dedicated to the professional is another strategic step in building long-term growth for this amazing profession”, stressing that education remains “the heartbeat” of the industry as client needs evolve.
