Prada has brought its roving cultural platform Prada Mode to New York, presenting “Satellites II” by filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn and game creator Hideo Kojima as a citywide exploration of communication, language and human connection. Extending their original “Satellites” exhibition at Prada Aoyama Tokyo, the duo’s second chapter unfolded across iconic Manhattan locations, blurring the lines between private club, art installation and live broadcast.

From Prada Aoyama to a citywide sequel

Satellites” debuted in 2025 at Prada Aoyama in Tokyo, where Refn and Kojima transformed the fifth floor into a mid century domestic set filled with retro futuristic television sets showing their filmed heads in conversation. Framed as a dialogue about love, language, technology and human connection, the installation used analog screens and nostalgic interiors to examine how two creators who don’t share a spoken language can still connect through images, sound and emotion.
