Nike Builds Keely Hodgkinson’s One-of-One Speed Suit Around Athlete Feedback

Athlete Input as a Product-Development System The project makes athlete feedback visible as part of the design process.

Hannah Amis, Nike’s Director of Innovation Apparel Product Design, said: “Our team studied every detail of how Keely moves through space, ensuring the suit works with her stride, her mechanics and her race demands, creating a distraction-free fit that allows her to focus solely on performance.” Amis also said the large back opening was a favorite of Hodgkinson’s from the beginning, illustrating how personal preference can become part of a performance specification rather than remaining a styling detail.
