Acne Studios Aoyama Welcomes Nine Sculptural Rooftop Residents by Apollinaria Broche

The collaboration transforms the rooftop of Acne Studios Aoyama into a small fictional universe. The characters appear as whimsical ceramic inspired figures, each with its own personality, shape and story.

Rather than acting as conventional retail decoration, the sculptures create a moment of surprise for visitors who look beyond the store’s fashion displays and discover the rooftop world above.

The project reflects the creative relationship between Acne Studios and Apollinaria Broche, whose work often explores playful figures, childlike imagination and the emotional power of handmade objects.

Her characters balance humour with a sense of tenderness, bringing an unexpected warmth to the architectural setting of the Aoyama flagship. Among the figures are Suisui, a three legged horse, Emru, a sleepy white bunny, Daisy, a cat dreaming of becoming one with flowers, and Bimbi, a young deer standing on its hind legs…
