Athleta Signs Multiyear Valkyries Deal With Team-Store Merchandise Planned for 2027

The arrangement begins across the 2026 season and continues beyond it. Athleta chief executive Maggie Gauger said, “Fans increasingly connect with athletes through their individual stories, style, values, and community impact.” The partnership includes season-long placements and activations at Chase Center, plus Bay Area community programming for girls.

Those commitments extend the agreement beyond its September 18 launch event. For the Gap Inc. brand, the deal establishes an ongoing presence around a local WNBA team and connects that visibility to apparel distribution. Financial terms, merchandise volumes and performance targets were not disclosed.
