Kaori Juzu becomes the first Artist in Residencia at La Residencia Mallorca as Loewe Foundation and Belmond

Kaori Juzu, a Craft Prize 2023 finalist, has become the first artist to complete a two‑month residency at La Residencia in Mallorca under Artist in Residencia, a new programme launched by the LOEWE FOUNDATION in partnership with Belmond. The initiative is designed to further support alumni of the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize, linking contemporary craft practice with one of the Balearic Islands’ most storied art hotels.

Artist in Residencia at La Residencia

Located in Deià, Mallorca, La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel has long been known for its deep ties to the local art scene, including studios, exhibitions and an ongoing “Artists in Residencia” programme. For the 2026 edition, the hotel and LOEWE FOUNDATION have created a new annual artist residency structured around three, two‑month creative stays, each offering selected Craft Prize alumni time and space to develop work in dialogue with the landscape.
