Founded by supermodel Liya Kebede, Lemlem is a brand that celebrates women and nature, with its name meaning ‘to bloom and flourish’ in Amharic. The brand is committed to ethical practices and sustainability, using eco-friendly materials, limited production runs, and handmade production processes to reduce environmental impact

This commitment not only preserves the traditional art of weaving in Ethiopia but also aims to inspire economic growth on the continent. The brand’s founder, Liya Kebede, was inspired to launch Lemlem after meeting traditional weavers in her native Ethiopia who lacked a market for their craft.
