L’Oréal Paris is stepping into the Legally Blonde universe as the official makeup sponsor of “Elle,” the highly anticipated prequel series, with hero products like Voluminous Mascara, Colour Riche Lipstick and True Match Foundation written directly into Elle Woods’ origin story on screen and amplified through a 360 degree campaign.
A ‘Worth It’ partnership for Elle Woods
“Elle” is set in 1995 and follows a teenage Elle Woods as she navigates high school drama, from tricky friendships and forbidden romance to those famously “questionable fashion choices,” on her way to becoming the pink powered law student fans know from Legally Blonde. For L’Oréal Paris, the tie up is framed as a story about a young woman discovering her self worth at the exact moment the brand’s products were already fixtures in 90s beauty aisles.
“L’Oréal Paris has always been in the lives of women as they navigate their most important,…
barrier breaking days,” said Laura Branik, president of L’Oréal Paris USA, calling the collaboration a “natural, undeniable synergy” with a young Elle who has a “fierce, tenacious ‘worth it’ spirit” and refuses to let others define her boundaries.
By anchoring the partnership in the brand’s “Because You’re Worth It” positioning, the campaign leans into beauty as a tool of self expression and empowerment rather than just aesthetics.
1995 icons: Voluminous, Colour Riche and True Match To keep the integration authentic, the show uses L’Oréal Paris products that were actually on shelves in the mid 90s.
Viewers will spot Voluminous Mascara, Colour Riche Lipstick and True Match Foundation woven into scenes that reflect 90s beauty culture and Elle’s evolving routine, from getting ready for high school hallways to big life moments…
