L’Oréal has announced the launch of a groundbreaking Sustainable Innovation Accelerator, backed by a €100 million investment over the next five years. This initiative is designed to identify, develop, and scale breakthrough technologies that tackle urgent sustainability challenges in the beauty industry.
In partnership with the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), the accelerator seeks to collaborate with global innovators—startups, SMEs, and established companies—that offer near-market solutions to help make the beauty sector more sustainable and resilient.
What Is the Sustainable Innovation Accelerator?
The program is set to focus on seven critical areas for environmental innovation:

technical models Strategic mentoring and possibly new pilot and investment opportunities Who Should Apply? L’Oréal and CISL encourage applications from innovators around the world who have deployment-ready solutions (ideally Technology Readiness Level 7+; TRL 5–6 considered based on potential).
