Louis Vuitton brought 14 Artycapucines creations to the Grand Palais for Art Basel Paris, displaying the handbags beside works by the artists who reinterpreted them. The presentation also introduced a new chapter devoted to Keith Haring, connecting a retrospective of the house’s artist collaborations with its next limited-edition collection.

In its original announcement, Louis Vuitton described a display built around moving between the bags and the artists’ work.

That arrangement gave visitors a direct point of comparison: a familiar handbag silhouette could be read alongside the colors, imagery and forms associated with each artist, rather than encountered as an isolated product.
