Massimo Dutti Brings Brand Universe To Copenhagen With First Denmark Store

Massimo Dutti has opened its first physical store in Denmark, bringing its latest concept store to Copenhagen at Østergade 35, 1100 København. The new space is designed as more than a place to shop, with the brand positioning it as a setting where fashion, architecture, editorial culture and local partnerships come together in one experience.

The store carries Men’s and Women’s collections and spans more than 495 square metres according to the brand’s release. Massimo Dutti said, “More than a new retail destination, the brand’s first store in Denmark unfolds as a curated ecosystem where fashion, architecture, editorial culture and local collaborations come together to create a uniquely Copenhagen experience.

Inside, the concept leans into minimalist interiors, artisanal materials, sophisticated finishes and indirect light to create a more intimate atmosphere. The company said the new look is meant to reflect the storytelling at the center of the brand’s identity while supporting a more elevated customer journey.

The opening also ties Massimo Dutti more closely to the city through local collaborations. The brand partnered with Apotek 57, a well known Copenhagen café, to bring its coffee ritual into the store. The brand also teamed with New Mags, the independent bookstore known for fashion, design, architecture, art and contemporary culture titles, to present a curated in store book selection.

Through New Mags, visitors could also discover the Apartamento x Massimo Dutti Copenhagen City Guide, which was available exclusively on the store’s opening day. Created in collaboration with Apartamento, the guide highlighted Copenhagen’s neighborhoods, cultural destinations, and local recommendations. Massimo Dutti said the publication formed part of a broader editorial project accompanying some of its most significant store openings worldwide.

The store follows the Inditex group’s advanced eco efficient model, with electricity consumption reduced by about 30% and water consumption by 40% compared with conventional stores, according to the release. The company said the site uses LED lighting, occupancy based ventilation control, inverter technology for climate regulation and real time monitoring to track consumption and correct anomalies.

The new store introduces a more premium mix of digital tools and one to one support. Shoppers can book the Style Advisor by Appointment service, which includes a dedicated fitting room during the visit. The store also offers Store Mode, Tap to Pay, E ticket, Scan & Shop and in app reservation tools, while customers can reserve products for pickup within 24 hours or order unavailable items for delivery in 48 hours.

The launch marks a meaningful step in the brand’s international footprint. Founded in 1985 and acquired by Inditex in 1991, Massimo Dutti now operates more than 500 stores across more than 70 markets worldwide. With the Copenhagen opening, the retailer is using physical retail not just to sell product, but to build a more layered brand world around service, culture and place.
