Montreal, known for its vibrant culture and thriving fashion scene, is about to welcome three iconic luxury brands to its retail landscape. Saint Laurent, Versace, and Jimmy Choo have confirmed plans to open new stores in the city as part of the Royalmount development project. This 7 billion US dollar retail and leisure development aims to create a new midtown for Montreal, offering a unique shopping experience for locals and tourists alike.

The Royalmount  development, spearheaded by Quebec-based real estate development and management company Carbonleo, is set to feature 170 stores and 60 restaurants. With 50 percent of the brands and retail concepts being completely new to the Quebec market, this project promises to bring a fresh and exciting shopping experience to Montreal. The first stores are expected to open their doors in summer 2024.

In addition to Saint Laurent, Versace, and Jimmy Choo, other luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Tiffany, David Yurman, Tag Heuer, and Michael Kors have also signed up for the development. Andrew Lutfy, chief executive of Carbonleo, expressed his excitement about welcoming these world-class brands to Royalmount, which aims to become the number one destination in Eastern Canada for retail, dining, and entertainment.
