Spanx, the lifestyle and shapewear leader, has appointed Caroline (Cricket) Whitton as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Jeanne Jackson as Executive Chair. Whitton, who previously excelled as Spanx's President and Chief Growth Officer, has been instrumental in the brand's digital transformation since her arrival in 2017. Her prior experience includes driving digital growth at other retail brands such as Wayfair and Design Within Reach.
"I am honored to continue leading the incredible team at SPANX in this new capacity during this critical growth moment in the company's journey," said Cricket Whitton. "I'm energized by the opportunity to partner even more closely with Sara, our visionary founder, and to collaborate with Jeanne."
Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx, expressed her confidence in Whitton's deep commitment to the brand and anticipates continued success under her leadership.
"I am so happy to announce Cricket as the CEO of SPANX. Her deep commitment to our brand gives me a lot of confidence in the continued success of our business," said Sara Blakely, Founder of SPANX. "I am also thrilled to welcome Jeanne Jackson to the SPANX family. Her unparalleled industry experience will be invaluable as we enter this next phase of growth and innovation. Cricket and Jeanne make a powerful team and I'm looking forward to working closely with them both in their new roles."
Jackson's impressive career includes C-level and senior leadership roles at NIKE, Inc., Walmart.com, The Gap, Inc., Victoria Secret, The Walt Disney Company, and Saks Fifth Avenue, Inc. She is also a seasoned corporate director, serving on the boards of Moncler SpA, Monster Beverage, and Delta Airlines, and has been recognized by Business Week, Vanity Fair, and Fortune for her transformative leadership in iconic brands.
Jackson expressed her admiration for Spanx's evolution and thoughtful expansion.
"I have long admired the evolution and thoughtful expansion of the SPANX business. It has grown beyond its roots as a category-creator in shapewear and is increasingly recognized as a performance apparel business that cannot be defined by a single category," said Jackson. "The best is yet to come for SPANX, and I look forward to working with Cricket, Sara and the Board to drive the brand to the next level."
Founded by Sara Blakely in 2000, Spanx has revolutionized the industry and changed how women dress worldwide. Now a dynamic lifestyle brand, Spanx offers a range of products including activewear, apparel, denim, swimwear, intimates, leggings, hosiery, and more, all designed to empower women to look and feel their best.
