lululemon is celebrating a decade in South Korea with the reopening of its first store in the market, located in Cheongdam, Seoul. The redesigned location marks an important milestone for the Vancouver founded performance apparel brand, bringing together its local history, new global store concept and growing role within Korea’s premium activewear market.
The store first opened 10 years ago, giving lululemon an early physical presence in a market that has since become central to its international growth strategy. Over the past decade, the company has expanded from a single location to 26 stores across South Korea, supported by strong demand for premium performance apparel and a community increasingly engaged with movement, wellness and healthy lifestyles.

running, training, golf, tennis, travel and everyday wear. It is designed to make the product journey feel more integrated, giving shoppers a clearer view of the brand’s expanding performance and lifestyle offer. The opening also introduces lululemon’s new store design concept to the location.
The format takes inspiration from the Pacific Northwest, the region closely associated with the brand’s roots in Vancouver.
Natural references, considered material choices and functional design elements are intended to create a space that feels warm, modern and closely connected to the outdoor culture that shaped the company’s early identity. A custom 3D-printed exterior wrap is one of the store’s most distinctive features.
