Burberry and Hunza G have joined forces on a limited edition swimwear capsule for Summer 2026, bringing together two British brands with a shared commitment to craft, material innovation, and dressing for the elements. The collaboration launched on April 27, 2026, and is available now through both the Burberry and Hunza G websites and in store.

The Fabric at the Heart of It

At the core of the capsule is Hunza G‘s proprietary Original Crinkle fabric, a textured, ultra stretch material crafted with over nine million stitches per swimsuit that sculpts, supports, and adapts to the body for a universally flattering fit. Hunza G was originally founded in London in 1984 by Peter Meadows, who patented the Original Crinkle™ fabrication, before being relaunched in 2015 by Georgiana Huddart as co-founder and creative director, restoring the brand to cultural relevance. The fabric has since become one of the most recognized in swimwear, worn by figures including Julia Roberts and Whitney Houston.

The Silhouettes and the Palette

The capsule reimagines four of Hunza G‘s signature silhouettes, the Faye, Tyler, Domino, and Devyn, rendered in a refined palette of black, white, metallic cocoa, and red, with Burberry check trim detailing running throughout. A multifunctional swim skirt and tube top add versatility to the offering, while matching scrunchies and co-branded reusable garment bags complete each look. To mark the collaboration, a new seahorse motif reimagines the iconic Burberry Knight as an ocean ready emblem, carrying the Maison’s equestrian heritage into a distinctly summery new context.

The Campaign

The capsule is fronted by British actress Simone Ashley and model Alva Claire, photographed in a series of sun soaked poolside portraits that capture the relaxed, confident spirit of the collection. The campaign is part of Burberry‘s broader High Summer 2026 visual universe, which draws on British lido culture as its central reference, a world of outdoor pools, slow afternoons, and effortless warm weather dressing. The casting of Simone Ashley, a British Sri Lankan actress best known for her role in Bridgerton, ties the campaign to a generation of global consumers who see British fashion and culture as aspirational.

Craft Connecting Two Houses

The Burberry x Hunza G capsule is not simply a licensing exercise. It is a product led collaboration built around two very specific and complementary material propositions: Burberry‘s heritage in performance outerwear and weather resistant fabrication, and Hunza G‘s proprietary stretch innovation in swimwear.

Daniel Lee, Burberry‘s Chief Creative Officer, said, “There’s a natural connection between Burberry and Hunza G as British brands. Our approach to material and craft is shaped by a relationship to the elements, pieces you can wear in and out of the water.â€

The result is a collection where the craftsmanship is visible in the fabric itself, a quality that both brands have spent decades building and one that gives the capsule a credibility that goes beyond the novelty of the pairing.
