The Erewhon Glendale store sits at 520 N. Glendale Ave and operates from 7am–10pm, bringing the cult organic grocer’s prepared foods, grocery staples and café culture to a new corner of LA County. It marks the company’s 14th Southern California location, underscoring how quickly the once niche brand has expanded across the region.

originally opened in 1932 and closed in 2019, now transformed into a 24,900 square foot Erewhon. The design balances preservation and reinvention, keeping the existing structure while adding mezzanines, contemporary systems and flexible interior layouts.
Inside, warm wood banding wraps the perimeter soffit, while dark blue tile highlights the service deli and tonic bar, creating focal points for Erewhon’s signature “experience” counters.
A dark ceiling and polished concrete floors ground the space, tying it visually to the brand’s other locations but with details tuned to Glendale’s urban context.
