PacSun, the Los Angeles based specialty retailer rooted in youth culture, has officially moved its curated resale concept, PS Vintage, from digital to physical, launching in store at 16 PacSun locations across the U.S. as of April 11, 2026.

PS Vintage was developed in partnership with SPRINGY, a specialist in online secondhand retail. The program features thousands of one of a kind pre loved pieces, including graphic tees, hoodies, denim, and jackets, curated by size, era, and style, with assortments continuously refreshed to keep the in-store experience dynamic and discovery-driven.

From Online to the Shop Floor

PS Vintage first launched as a digital only concept before PacSun made the decision to bring it into brick and mortar. The in store move allows customers to browse, touch, and try on pieces in real time, something that online vintage shopping simply cannot replicate.

Richard Cox, Chief Merchandising Officer of PacSun, said, “Vintage shopping has become central to Gen Z‘s sense of individuality, alongside a growing focus on sustainability and self-expression. At the same time, we’re seeing renewed interest in intentional, in-person retail. PS Vintage brings these behaviors together, offering discovery, community, and oneof-a-kind product in a way that feels relevant to this generation.”

Built Around Gen Z Actually Wants

The rollout is directly informed by PacSun‘s internal Youth Report, which draws on direct insights from Gen Z and Gen Alpha consumers. The report points to a clear behavioral shift: younger shoppers are moving away from mass trends and toward unique style based on self expression, with resale and vintage emerging as primary expressions of that identity.

The rotating assortment model is key to the program’s retail strategy. No two pieces are the same, and stock is refreshed on a rolling basis, a format designed not just to drive purchases, but to encourage repeat visits and build a sense of community around the store experience. It’s a sharp move at a time when physical retail is fighting hard to give consumers a reason to show up.

What’s Next for PS Vintage

PacSun has confirmed that the 16 store launch is just the beginning, with plans to expand PS Vintage to additional locations. The brand has not yet disclosed a specific expansion timeline or the number of additional stores targeted.

The launch also reinforces PacSun‘s broader investment in its physical retail footprint at a moment when many mall brands are pulling back. By fusing the resale movement with in store discovery, PacSun is betting that the right product, curated, tactile, and one of a kind, can give its stores a competitive edge that fast fashion and e-commerce simply can’t replicate.
