RIMOWA and Faber-Castell have introduced a limited-edition Artist Case, extending the luggage maker’s aluminium design into a portable home for drawing tools. The partnership brings together a case manufacturer and an art-supplies specialist around a shared use: carrying and organizing the materials needed to create.

Opened out, the trays present the tools for use rather than leaving them stacked inside a conventional travel compartment. A Collaboration Built Around Use It includes rows of coloured pencils alongside the case and its accompanying drawing accessories.

The central proposition is practical as well as visual: RIMOWA supplies a recognizable carrying format, while Faber-Castell supplies the connection to the artist’s working process. RIMOWA says the case is made in Cologne and carries a two-year warranty.

Its distribution plan includes RIMOWA stores and website, Faber-Castell’s German retail stores and the latter’s EU online channel. That combination places the collaboration in two different shopping contexts: luxury travel goods and specialist creative supplies.
