Selfridges Launches First Custom Tailored Clothing Service

Selfridges, the luxury department store, has recently introduced a made-to-measure service in collaboration with eight renowned brands, including Giorgio Armani, Prada, and Thom Browne. This move comes as a response to the increased demand for tailored clothing, with the retailer boosting its fashion tailoring offer by 75% for spring 2023.

To accommodate this new service, Selfridges has transformed its personal shopping suites into “tailoring workrooms,” where the participating brands will take up residence over the coming months. Customers can make appointments through the website and attend personal shopping suites in Selfridges’ London, Manchester, and Birmingham stores.

Bosse Myhr, director of menswear at Selfridges, believes that the store’s made-to-measure service offers an advantage over stand-alone tailors due to the variety of brands available, allowing customers to create a unique personal look.
