IKEA Canada is partnering with Swedish colourist Tekla Evelina Severin (known as Teklan) on a new collection of colourful lighting and sound products launching across Canada in January 2026. The collaboration turns speakers and lamps into statement pieces, using bold colour and playful forms to make home technology feel more visible and personal in everyday spaces.

home.” He also said, “We’re thrilled Canadians will be able to experience this collaboration with Teklan, which offered the ability to infuse colour, form and character to our existing lighting and sound range.” Colour as the starting point The collaboration builds on Teklan’s signature approach to colour, where bold yet carefully balanced palettes interact with geometric shapes to create depth and visual movement.
Her practice often examines how two-dimensional colour explorations can be translated into three-dimensional objects that change the feel of a room.
Describing the idea behind the line, Teklan said, “Colour is such an emotional and powerful tool; it can completely change how we see an object and shape the atmosphere of a room.” She also said, “We wanted to bring that softness and friendliness into technology, to help people see home electronics differently and invite more colour into their everyday spaces.” SOLSKYDD speakers bring sound and presence A central pillar of the range is SOLSKYDD, a family of round Bluetooth speakers designed by Ola Wihlborg with equal attention to acoustics and silhouette.
