Guccihas successfully renewed its Gender Parity Certification in Italy following a recertification audit by Bureau Veritas Italia, reaffirming its status as the first Italian luxury house to voluntarily obtain this recognition under Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) and underscoring its long term commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Renewed Gender Parity Certification in Italy
Gucci first obtained the Gender Parity Certification in July 2023, when it became the first Italian luxury company to voluntarily achieve the standard created as part of Italy’s Gender Equality Certification System under the NRRP. The certification, awarded by Bureau Veritas Italia, recognises companies that demonstrate measurable progress and robust governance around gender equality.
In 2026, Gucci underwent a recertification audit, which it has now successfully passed, confirming that the house continues to meet the required benchmarks and has maintained or improved its performance since the initial certification.
Scope of the recertification audit
The latest audit covered 14 entities operating in Italy across corporate, retail and industrial sites, giving a broad view of how gender parity is embedded throughout Gucci’s domestic operations.
Performance was evaluated across six key areas defined by the Italian certification framework: Culture and strategy how gender equality is integrated into corporate values, policies and long term planning. Governance oversight structures, accountability and leadership engagement on DE&I.
HR processes recruitment, promotion, training and performance systems designed to support equal opportunities. Opportunities for women’s career development and inclusion representation in leadership pipelines, development programs and inclusion initiatives. Gender pay equity analysis and actions to address unjustified pay gaps.
Support for parenthood and work life balance policies on parental leave, flexible working and care support.
