Louis Vuitton’s Visual Merchandising Role Is About Making Imagination Visible

In Vienna, as in all Louis Vuitton stores, the Visual Merchandising team is at work long before opening. Giorgio, Visual Merchandising Manager, and Mark, Visual Merchandiser, move through the space setting the scene: windows composed to catch the curious eyes of passers by, every category checked and placed, the season’s collections exactly where they should be.

Then come the silhouettes. A mannequin dressed with a breathtaking bag, styled with matching shoes and finished with the perfect accessory is never only a display. It is an invitation to imagine: a journey ahead, an occasion approaching, a version of oneself to step into. Each look is built to spark a story in the mind of whoever stops to look.

Wherever the eye lands, there is inspiration. Product zoning, lighting, props and proportions are all calibrated so that the store feels intuitive rather than staged. By the time the doors open, everything appears…
