A new chapter has begun for Majorica in Palma de Mallorca. The historic pearl jewellery house has opened a new store on Jaume III, introducing a contemporary retail concept that brings together more than 135 years of heritage with a renewed vision of the brand’s Mediterranean identity.
The boutique marks an important milestone for Majorica, which was founded in 1890 in Mallorca. For more than a century, the brand has been associated with organic pearls and jewellery craftsmanship, building a connection with the island that remains central to its story. The new Palma store uses that local heritage as a starting point, translating it into an environment designed for the brand’s next phase of growth.

create a space that feels rooted in place while remaining contemporary. Rather than treating heritage as something static, the store reinterprets familiar materials and architectural details through a modern retail lens. The interior uses lime mortar, wood and natural textiles to create a warm and tactile atmosphere.
These materials introduce texture and softness into the store while connecting the environment to the architecture of Mallorca. The approach gives the space a residential feeling, making the jewellery discovery process feel more intimate and personal.
One of the most distinctive design references is the traditional wooden shutter, known locally as a Mallorcan shutter. In the new boutique, this familiar feature has been reimagined as part of the architectural system, giving the space a local visual language without relying on obvious or decorative references.
The use of these details allows the store to feel unmistakably connected to Palma, while still presenting a clean and elevated expression of the Majorica brand.
