Julie Kegels Wins the 2026 LVMH Prize as Three Labels Receive €800,000 in Awards

Julie Kegels has won the 2026 LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers, leading a trio of labels receiving a combined €800,000 in cash awards. Lii and Yoshita 1967 took the Karl Lagerfeld and Savoir-Faire prizes, respectively, with all three receiving a year of mentoring alongside additional support for materials and collection development.

The winners were selected at the 13th edition’s final on September 4 at Fondation Louis Vuitton, according to LVMH’s announcement. The jury included twelve creative directors from the group’s houses, with Thai actress Urassaya Sperbund joining as a special guest.

Three Labels, Three Award Packages Belgian designer Julie Kegels, 27, receives €400,000 and a year of guidance from LVMH experts for her namesake womenswear label. Jennifer Lawrence presented the prize.

In outlining the jury’s choice, Delphine Arnault highlighted Kegels’ contemporary approach to a wardrobe built around individuality. The Karl Lagerfeld Prize went to Zane Li, the 25-year-old Chinese designer behind Lii, which makes womenswear and menswear. His award includes €200,000 and a year of mentoring.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas presented the prize, with Arnault pointing to the label’s combination of sportswear and couture influences. Anil Padia, the 35-year-old Kenyan designer behind womenswear label Yoshita 1967, received the Savoir-Faire Prize from Sperbund…
