Athleta, a renowned activewear brand owned by Gap Inc., has formed a holistic partnership with 15-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys to further their mutual commitment to women’s well-being. This collaboration aims to drive awareness of and access to women’s well-being through co-created product offerings, impact grants, and unique community content.
Alicia Keys will serve as a mentor and advisor for Athleta‘s Power of She Fund, a grant program committed to making well-being accessible, specifically to women and girls in the BIPOC community. Launched in 2020 and activated by the Women’s Sports Foundation, applications for the next cycle of well-being grants will open in June 2022.
In addition to her involvement in the Power of She Fund, Keys has also released a limited-edition activewear line in collaboration with Athleta. The Athleta x Alicia Keys Collection is a stylish, 15-piece collection designed to support women, boost their mood and energy, and let them feel powerful in their own bodies. It is “inclusive by design,” which means it was designed, fit, and tested by real women across the brand’s extended size range (XXS to 3X). Keys will also connect with women through community conversations on AthletaWell, Athleta’s digital community that supports women’s well-being. The campaign, called “Within You,” explores the relentless strength within women through conversations between Keys and three remarkable women celebrating their accomplishments and finding inspiration in the tools they use to foster their own healthy mind, body, and spirit.
This partnership between Athleta and Alicia Keys coincides with Women’s History Month and aims to empower women and girls through movement, feel-good products, and connection. Athleta has a history of partnering with powerful, like-minded individuals, including Simone Biles and Allyson Felix, who bring these values to life.
