CHANEL Brings le19M Métiers d’Art Exhibitions to Shanghai’s Museum of Art Pudong

The programme pairs A Sense of Touch, a group exhibition involving Chinese and French creatives, with Lesage: 100 Years of Fashion and Decoration, a look at the embroidery and weaving house founded in 1924. The first exhibition moves across textiles, embroidery, ceramics, woodcarving, lacquer and bamboo weaving.

The second traces Lesage’s work through historical and contemporary pieces, including its relationship with CHANEL. Craft as a Public-Facing Brand Platform The Shanghai presentation is the third international chapter for la Galerie du 19M.

It occupies the museum’s entire third floor, rather than appearing as a small brand installation.
