Decathlon Opens Its Sixth Rio de Janeiro State Store at NorteShopping

Cedric Burel, CEO of Decathlon Brazil, said the new layout is designed for easier navigation and includes automated fitting rooms. The store also offers Click & Collect and ship-from-store services, connecting the physical location to Decathlon’s digital fulfilment options.

A larger role for the northern zone Burel identified Rio de Janeiro as a strategic market for the company and described the northern zone as a sporting community with room for further retail reach.

The NorteShopping opening places the assortment and fulfilment services closer to those customers rather than relying only on stores elsewhere in the city. The NorteShopping opening extends Decathlon’s Rio de Janeiro state network to six stores and combines in-store discovery with Click & Collect and ship-from-store fulfilment.
