MANGO Uses Fashion Culture Learning to Support its 18,000 Employees
MANGO is continuing to invest in the people and ideas behind its business through a Fashion Culture learning session led by Daniel Córdoba-Mendiola, an expert in trend analysis, culture and contemporary aesthetics. The session forms part of the company’s internal development programme and gives teams an opportunity to explore fashion beyond products, collections and commercial calendars.
The initiative is based on a simple idea: fashion is a cultural expression. It influences how people dress, communicate, connect and understand the world around them. For a global fashion company such as MANGO, building a strong cultural knowledge base across the organisation can help teams make more informed, creative and relevant decisions.
The Fashion Culture session is the second instalment in MANGO’s learning portfolio. It is designed to strengthen employees’ knowledge of the cultural context that shapes fashion, from visual aesthetics and social shifts to changing consumer attitudes and emerging creative references.
For…
teams working across design, product, retail, marketing, digital, communications and business operations, this type of learning can be valuable. Fashion is not created in isolation. It responds to music, film, art, architecture, technology, travel, social movements and the everyday lives of customers.
A broader awareness of those influences can lead to more thoughtful creative work. Daniel Córdoba-Mendiola brought his perspective on trends and contemporary culture to the session, helping participants explore the ideas and references shaping fashion today.
Trend analysis is not only about identifying what may become popular next season. It is also about understanding why certain aesthetics, products and behaviours resonate at a particular moment.
