Nike has officially opened its new store at Stadshart Amstelveen, located at Rembrandtweg 37 in Amstelveen, Noord-Holland. The store opened on April 2, 2026, as part of the ongoing redevelopment of the Rembrandtweg area within the shopping center, and joins a wave of new retail arrivals that are reshaping one of the Netherlands’ most established regional shopping destinations.

Part of a Major Retail Redevelopment

The Nike opening is one of several high profile launches tied to Stadshart Amstelveen‘s broader transformation. The new Nike flagship spans 710 square meters and sits in the newly developed section of the center along Rembrandtweg, opposite UNIQLO. Other brands arriving as part of the same redevelopment phase include Intertoys XL, which opened a 948 square meter store on March 28, and Rituals, which is relocating to a larger 400 square meter boutique within the center.

A Partnered Store Format

The Amstelveen location operates as a partnered Nike store, a retail model the brand uses to expand its physical presence through carefully selected local partners who operate under the Nike brand identity and standards. The store offers the full Nike product range across footwear, apparel, and accessories, with opening hours that include extended Thursday trading until 9pm, catering to the shopping patterns of the local and regional customer base.

Stadshart Amstelveen as a Growing Destination

Stadshart Amstelveen, operated by Westfield, has been investing significantly in its retail offer as part of a longer term vision to strengthen its position as a regional shopping and leisure destination. The arrival of Nike adds one of the world’s most recognizable sportswear brands to a tenant mix that already includes UNIQLO, SKINS, and Nespresso, with further openings from 10Days and Levi’s also planned as part of the same development phase. The transformation of the Rembrandtweg corridor in particular signals a clear ambition to attract flagship caliber retail to Amstelveen and reposition the center for the next decade.

Nike’s Continued European Retail Expansion

The Amstelveen opening reflects Nike‘s ongoing commitment to maintaining a strong physical retail presence across Europe, supplementing its dominant e commerce operation with well located stores that deliver an in person brand experience. For a city the size of Amstelveen, a 710 square meter flagship format store is a meaningful investment and a vote of confidence in the center’s revitalized retail offer and the spending power of its catchment area.
