Sephora Brings Its Inclusive Beauty Community Together in Washington

The event sits within a longer relationship between Sephora and founders building for a wider range of shoppers. Jones and BROWN GIRL Jane were part of Sephora’s 2023 Accelerate cohort, a program designed to support emerging brands.

Their presence in Washington connected that earlier brand-development work with the retailer’s community programming. From community input to the retail experience Sephora says its Inclusive Beauty Council and community help shape its efforts around inclusion.

Its 2026 DE&I report describes the council as an expertise-driven initiative alongside work on assortment and supplier representation. The Washington event offered a public-facing expression of that broader operating agenda through discussion and hands-on beauty experiences.

These forums create a way to hear from founders and shoppers outside a standard product launch.
