Timberland Brings a 13-Foot Boot to Cherry Hill Mall for Its New Jersey Grand Opening

Timberland is opening a new store at Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey this weekend, and it’s marking the occasion with something hard to miss: a 13-foot-tall boot parked outside for photos.

According to Cherry Hill Patch, the ribbon cutting for the new 1,800-square-foot space takes place Friday morning between 9:30 and 10 a.m., with the giant boot on site for photo opportunities both Friday and Saturday.

It’s the kind of stunt that’s genuinely fun rather than just decorative, since anyone walking through the mall this weekend is likely to run into it whether they planned to shop or not. Beyond the photo op, the opening weekend comes with a few hands-on perks.

Shoppers can get their own products laser-engraved for free, and there’s a “lace-and-patch” bar where customers can personalize boots with different laces and patches.
