The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation has announced a $2 million commitment to support scholarships for Black, African, and African American students. This initiative aims to address systemic racism and racial injustice by creating more pathways for equity within the fashion industry and beyond, starting with education.
The Foundation’s scholarship program will benefit students at Morehouse College, Spelman College, and 10 additional historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) through the United Negro College Fund (UNCF). The scholarships will be awarded to 30 need-based recipients, providing up to $3,666.66 per year for two years, pending satisfaction of renewal requirements. Eligible scholars must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 and demonstrate unmet financial need as verified by their college or university.

CEO of UNCF, also emphasized the significance of the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation’s partnership in providing scholarships for deserving African American students who lack the resources to pursue higher education.
In addition to Morehouse College and Spelman College, the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation scholarship grants will benefit eligible students at 10 HBCUs over a five-year period.
These institutions will be selected based on criteria such as current unmet funding needs, enrollment rates, proximity to Ralph Lauren Corporation’s U.S. operation centers, and institutions that foster careers in the retail industry.
The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation is dedicated to championing equity and empowering underserved communities worldwide. Through its work in advocacy and access, the Foundation directly funds and fosters programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, including collegiate scholarships.
