Cartier Opens 2027 Talents of Tomorrow Prize Across Watchmaking and Jewelry

Watchmaking entrants are asked to interpret the animal theme around a required movement. Jewelry entrants must design a brooch capturing the presence of a wild animal. The paired brief connects two craft disciplines while giving each a distinct technical task.

Who Can Apply and When Cartier says the jewelry prize is open to students in France, Italy and Switzerland who have completed at least two years of jewelry-making training through a school, apprenticeship or work-study program. Entrants should consult the official prize page for the current terms of their category.

Cartier provides separate registration routes for the watchmaking prize and the jewelry prize. In December, juries plan to select eight candidates per category. Selected entrants will develop their projects from January through March 31, 2027, with a maximum of 80 work hours and guidance from an external mentor.
