CHANEL’s Bruno Pavlovsky Joins The Fashion Pact as Co-Chair

He joins Óscar García Maceiras, chief executive of Inditex, and Paul Polman in the coalition’s leadership. CHANEL described the next phase as an effort to focus more closely on practical action and measurable environmental impact across participating companies.

Pavlovsky said the industry’s challenges require “long-term commitment and collective action, particularly across supply chains.” He also set out an ambition to make the coalition more global, practical and effective.

The appointment places a luxury fashion executive alongside leadership associated with a different retail scale and business model. The shared operating terrain is the supply chain: environmental challenges extend beyond an individual brand’s stores or direct operations.

The coalition gives those businesses a shared forum for work that crosses company boundaries. Pavlovsky’s stated focus on supply chains places that coordination close to sourcing and production, where brands work through networks of suppliers.
