Balenciaga Gives Six Young Creatives Access to Four Atelier Workshops in France

The latest edition brought together six young creatives aged between 18 and 25, selected by 0-93. Lab. Across four workshops, the participants were introduced to different stages of garment creation, from pattern-making and fabric cutting to prototyping, draping, sewing and quilting.

The sessions were led by volunteers from the Balenciaga Atelier and hosted at the 0-93. Lab space in Aulnay-sous-Bois, a suburb northeast of Paris. The programme gave participants an opportunity to learn directly from professionals working within one of fashion’s most influential houses.

For the young creatives, the workshops offered more than an introduction to technical processes. They provided access to a working culture of precision, experimentation and construction. Participants were encouraged to develop their own ideas while learning the practical skills needed to turn a concept into a garment.
