Diorhas officially opened the House of Dior Shinsaibashi in Osaka, a four floor flagship that fuses a couture inspired façade by Sou Fujimoto, luminous interiors by Peter Marino, contemporary art and a Monsieur Dior restaurant led by Michelin starred chef Anne Sophie Pic. The new Maison, which welcomed its first guests on 21 May 2026, cements Dior’s long standing dialogue with Japan while showcasing the first collections by creative director Jonathan Anderson in a fully immersive setting.
Architecture: a draped landmark in Shinsaibashi
Located at 1 9 17 Shinsaibashisuji, Chūō ku, Osaka, on the main Shinsaibashi suji shopping artery, the House of Dior occupies a stand alone building designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto. The façade is a striking, undulating composition of layered, translucent panels that evoke the fluid drape of Christian Dior’s haute couture dresses, turning the structure into a kind of sculpted fabric frozen in motion.

Natural light, mirrored surfaces and carefully curated materials guide visitors upwards, echoing the “kingdom of dreams” concept that positions the store as far more than a traditional boutique.
