Mulberry Certifies Under New B Corp Standards as Business Accountability Requirements Expand

Mulberry has certified under B Lab’s new B Corp standards, extending a certification journey that began in 2024. The British luxury brand announced the milestone in a company post, while B Lab’s public directory lists Mulberry Group PLC as certified against standards version 2.2.

More Than a Repeat of the Original Certification Mulberry says it is among the first UK businesses to certify under the new framework. The company describes a cross-business process involving policy reviews, stronger governance and stakeholder engagement, rather than a product-specific sustainability initiative.

B Lab’s June 2026 announcement about the revised standards explains that companies must meet independently verified performance thresholds across seven impact topics. Those cover governance, fair work, human rights, climate, environmental stewardship and circularity, inclusion, and collective action.

The framework also builds in additional requirements at years three and five. Mulberry’s directory entry currently shows Year 0 under version 2.2—the starting stage of that certification cycle, not the year the business first became a B Corp.
