Athleta × San Francisco Ballet Partnership, is Where Free Workshops and Scholarships Put the Power of Movement

As two organizations born in San Francisco, the partnership is designed to create more opportunities for women and girls in their hometown to experience that impact firsthand.

Athleta will serve as San Francisco Ballet’s Official Athletic Apparel Partner, outfitting dancers in performance and lifestyle pieces and bringing the brand’s heritage in movement to life through storytelling that highlights the craft, strength and artistry of the company. Programming will put community at the centre.

The partnership includes support for San Francisco Ballet’s Swanson Community Scholarship Fund, which provides roughly 100 local elementary students with free, year round access to ballet training, and reaches around 2,500 students annually through the Dance in Schools and Communities program.

In addition, Athleta and San Francisco Ballet will host quarterly dance workshops at no cost to Bay Area women and girls, offering an accessible entry point into the art form and into the confidence, connection and sense of possibility that movement can unlock…
