Kay Beauty Enters Skincare With Two Products as Nykaa Extends the Brand

Kay Beauty is entering skincare with its first dedicated range, extending the makeup brand’s care-led positioning into a new category. Nykaa announced the move with two products: Hydra Glaze Essence and Hydra Base Water Crème.

The company links the range to Kay Beauty’s existing Makeup That Kares philosophy, positioning hydration and skin-barrier support as the bridge between makeup and skincare. These are the brand’s product claims, not independently established results for individual users.

A Familiar Positioning in a New Aisle The commercial logic is continuity. Rather than introducing skincare under an unrelated identity, Kay Beauty is asking customers to carry their understanding of the makeup brand into a different part of their routine.

A two-product entry also gives the launch a relatively focused proposition to explain. At the time of review, Nykaa’s Kay Beauty assortment listed the Hydra Glaze Milky Essence at ₹1,099 and the HydraBase Water Gel Creme at ₹1,299.
