Hermès Opens a Four Floor Flagship at The Landmark Nagoya Sakae
Hermèshas opened a new four floor flagship boutique in Nagoya, Japan, at The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, a craft inspired space that draws deeply on local culture, textiles and colours while showcasing the Maison’s 16 métiers under one roof. Designed by Paris based architecture agency RDAI, the store is described as the second largest Hermès boutique in Japan, spanning from basement level to third floor inside the new mixed use complex.

50-3032-6560. Design inspired by local craftsmanship and textiles Hermès describes the new store as “inspired by local craftsmanship, fabrics and colours,” integrating Nagoya’s textile heritage into the architecture.
Key features include: A double height façade with molded glass panels and a curtain of nearly a thousand hand-woven cotton threads, evoking loom fibers and weaving traditions. A stone staircase connecting the floors, with each level distinguished by contrasting fabrics, textures and tones taken from Japanese textile references.
