Louis Vuitton’s Monaco trophy trunk gets a 2026 update
For the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco 2026, Louis Vuitton has unveiled an official trophy trunk that turns the winner’s cup into a collectible design object. Hand crafted in the House’s historic Asnières workshops near Paris, the trunk is built to the exact dimensions of the Monaco Grand Prix trophy, reflecting over 170 years of the Maison’s trunk-making savoir faire.
The 2026 edition stands out in a Monaco red reinterpretation of the classic Monogram canvas, finished with a bold white and red “V” that nods to both “victory” and the Principality of Monaco flag. The message is clear and deliberately repeated across the partnership: “Victory travels in Louis Vuitton.”
A sixth year of Monaco prestige
The 2026 race weekend runs from 4 to 7 June 2026, as the Principality of Monaco hosts one of the most watched events on the F1 calendar. This year also marks the sixth consecutive Monaco Grand Prix to feature a bespoke trophy trunk from Louis Vuitton, signalling how central the collaboration has become to the podium moment.
The race itself is officially titled the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco 2026, following a new title partnership that deepens Louis Vuitton’s long relationship with Monaco and motorsport.
According to the Automobile Club de Monaco, the current agreement means Formula 1 will continue to race in Monaco until at least 2031, with the Louis Vuitton title partnership extended until 2035 for this specific Grand Prix.
Craft, luxury and the new F1 spectacle Each Formula 1 trophy trunk in this series is made as a one of one, with circuit specific details, and the Monaco version is among the most coveted due to the race’s history and glamour.
