Lee Celebrates Marilyn Monroe’s 100th Birthday With a Global Denim Capsule

Lee has launched the limited edition Lee x Marilyn Monroe™ Collection, celebrating the Hollywood icon’s 100th birthday through denim, feminine wardrobe staples and archival inspired design. The global capsule reinterprets some of Marilyn Monroe’s most recognisable looks, led by a new version of Lee’s classic Storm Rider™ jacket.

The collection is inspired by photographs of Marilyn Monroe wearing the Storm Rider™ jacket, taken by photographer Eve Arnold on the set of the star’s final film. Those images informed the capsule’s campaign, graphics, labels, trims and product details.

The Storm Rider Returns The Storm Rider™ Jacket is the central piece of the collection. It takes inspiration from the style worn by Marilyn Monroe and preserves the recognisable fit and construction of Lee’s original design.

The limited-edition version features a blanket lining in an exclusive Marilyn Monroe colour palette, a custom Storm Rider label and hidden red lip embroidery. The details give the archival denim jacket a more personal and collectible character while maintaining its workwear heritage.
