Diane Von Furstenberg Reimagines the Connecticut Flag For United Flags of Fashion at Rockefeller Center

A fashion led celebration at Rockefeller Center United Flags of Fashion is a joint project from CFDA, Vogue, America250 and Rockefeller Center, conceived to mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Leading American designers were invited to reinterpret the flags of the 50 states, five territories and Washington, D.C., each offering a visual response that reflects local identity through the lens of fashion.

From July 27 to September 4, 2026, more than 120 custom flags replace the standard state flags on the poles framing The Rink at Rockefeller Center.

Free and open to the public, the installation blends hometown pride with global recognition, spotlighting the breadth of American fashion from established houses to emerging voices through a medium usually reserved for civic and historical emblems…
