Ulta Beauty is an American chain of beauty stores headquartered in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Ulta Beauty carries cosmetics and skincare brands, men’s and women’s fragrances, nail products, bath and body products, beauty tools, and haircare products. Each store is also equipped with a salon, Benefit brow bar, and Dermalogica skin bar. Ulta Beauty was founded in 1990 by Richard E. George, the former President of Osco Drug, Inc., with the company’s first store opening in Schaumburg, Illinois. It has since grown to become one of the largest beauty retailers in the United States, offering a unique combination of over 25,000 products across a wide range of categories and price points, including its own private label. Ulta Beauty also operates an e-commerce website, which provides a full-service salon in every store.
